今日報紙報導，昨日當局在彿山九江大橋倒塌事故下游的西江流域打撈出7具屍體，查明後證實其中3名死者並不是這次事故中的失蹤者。

解讀：似乎在中國任何一個城市附近的任何一個河岸，只要認真地找找都可以找到幾具死人屍體。

My Name is Red

Last week I went to Mongkok to have dinner with a few undergraduate classmates. I was early and walked into a bookshop. Note: Bookshop is rare in MK. I stumbled onto a book called My Name is Red, written by the 2006 winner of Nobel Prize in Literature Orhan Pamuk. I flipped a few pages and found it quite interesting. The story is set in Istanbul of the Ottoman period, and have a very vivid and colorful depiction of the city and lives of the people. The author himself is a native of modern Istanbul. The original is written in Turkish, and I was reading the English translation, of course. After I got home, I looked up amazon.com for readers' reviews. The book is described as offering a great insight into the Islamic philosophy and Arts.

I didn't have a Hongkong Bank credit card with which I could get a 30% discount for the book. (Well.. if I were in the US, I would buy a used one from amazon.com for a much cheaper price.) A friend of mine who attended the dinner had it, but the bookshop was closed when we finished our meal. My friend was so nice that he bought one for me on the other day and gave it to me yesterday.

I started the book this morning on my way to work, and a line on the first page impressed me a lot. It is a mutter from the spirit of a dead man, who turns out to be the main character, about his enlightenment in the world of death, "Before my birth there was infinite time, and after my death, inexhaustible time. I never thought of it before: I'd been living luminously between two eternities of darkness."

Right. We should be grateful for being alive and exposed to infinite possibilities.

So far the book is easy to follow and addictive for a Nobel winner's work. And it is a murder mystery too. Still, I need to focus to take in the details. I planned to read Harry Potter - the Order of the Phoenix again before the movie is on. But now it has to give way to the Red.

p.s. On the train I noticed a young man reading the same book but an older edition. He turned out to be waiting for the school bus with me in CU, and we were reading the same book next to each other. He was getting close to the end though.

母校雜感

屈指一算，自從92年入讀中大之後，這15年間竟和和她有了幾番離離合合。

以前一直沒有認真想過Shaw人的特征，昨天和一個學生談起我以前諗Shaw College，這次我卻很自然地說Shaw人是自由知識份子。很大可能是地理位置較偏僻的關係，平常要轉校巴才入到Shaw College，假日的校巴班次更加疏落，所以除了住宿的學生以外，即使是Shaw的學生也很少入Shaw，更不可能像其他書院一樣有其他書院的學生經常出沒。所以Shaw人也是比「摺」，因為回了宿便不想出來。學生也很晚才回宿，所以大家自顧自的，沒有很強的書院意識。就是這客觀因素，做就成一批「自由知識份子」。

當初也沒有認真了解幾個書院的背景和文化，便選了Shaw。那時候比較理想主義，不想入有宗教背景的書院，沒選崇基。我對中國文化很有興趣，想入新亞書院，但生化系學生不能入新亞。Shaw和聯合選其一，覺得Shaw好像較獨立不羈，和我的性格相像，便選了Shaw。到了三年級才發覺崇基和聯合都有較多獎學金，唉... 堅持理想是有代價的。但回想起這也是不錯的選擇，至少我可以跟人說我打從大學開始便是一個「自由知識份子」。

的確，我也很慶幸畢業時沒有考上政府工。現在看著政府的「政治宣傳片」（Propaganda），如「回歸十周年」MV，如果是上司要我做，我會想死。

日本科幻小說《銀河英雄傳說》裡有一個角色，是幾代相傳的太空運輸船船主，獨立於幾個政權之外，間中也接一點走私生意。這人正是為了幾代祖先一直堅持不附和任何一個政權或政治組織而自豪。當然，這角色最後被一個新興起的強大政權利用，自認慚對了祖先。

當年我沒有住過宿，但也有時入Shaw到同學的宿舍玩。玩什麼？一班男生還可以玩什麼？不外乎打機，睇波，睇「呵呵帶」（「呵」音「河」）。請注意，是「呵呵帶」，不是「呵呵碟」。我們那年代還有VHS帶。昨天那學生聽到這個term立時大笑，「呵呵帶」遠比「鼓油碟」繪形繪聲，更vintage吧？哈哈... 其實我入Shaw多數是打壁球的（一星期兩次），那時U Gym的壁球場還沒有建好。

這是今天下班從後樓梯下來看到的風景。7:15 pm，是這個季節的Magic Hour。就在新亞紫霞樓（學生宿舍）旁邊剛好擱著一片紫霞。因為是用手機拍的關係，照片拍不出那一剎那雲的紫色。現在你們看到的紫色我記憶中的顏色，用Photoshop把它重現出來。

3:32 am. I finally managed to stop myself from downloading those papercraft templates from the web. Things that I have downloaded includes Gundam, Star Wars, Macross, some cute characters, cars, trains, ships, the time machines of Back to the Future (yes, the TWO time machines - Delorean and the Train!!), and even Nike Air Force I sneakers. I stopped only because I had opened over 12 tabs in one Firefox window and the last one tried to start a Flash movie, which crashed the Firefox.

我像一片雲

讀今天陶傑為蘋果日報寫的《星期天休息》，從太湖的污染聯想到南宋的一首詞，到一位英國詩人為湖區寫的一首詩，再到許冠傑的一首歌的詞。我很認同他說「流行曲的歌詞，許多人覺得難與文學經典相比，但三首作品，三般菜餚，像鰣魚、牛排，還有奶油多，其實各有各的可口，一樣逗人喜歡。」

在香港，朋友經常尋找好吃的餐廳。我自己也經歷過這階段。可能已經試過很多，加上沒有了伴，這次回香港已沒有以前那麼熱衷四處覓食了。況且近年香港有很多濫竽充數的食肆，一旦到了這些食肆，吃進口裡，還覺得在花錢支持這些次貨。我現在更愛和幾個好友在舒適的環境下喝喝酒、談談天（畢竟有名有姓的酒的質素還是有保證）。在美國的經歷也幫了一把吧。香港畢竟太繁忙，如果自己不自覺要停下來思考的話，很容易隨波逐流，不知道自己的本質和想要的生活。

Weinstube

I went to an Austrian restaurant in TST last night for dinner.

It is a very tiny restaurant: only 5 tables that can take probably 16 people at a time, but a nice bar and feels cosy. There were 3 big white people sitting at the bar, eating, drink, and chattering when we arrived. We sat by the window, and ordered a sausage platter, goulash, and pork knuckles. The knuckles took 50 minutes to make, which was good so that we could take our time for chatter and the soup and the sausages. I had two glasses of weißbier, which I missed a lot.

The restaurant is called Weinstube and is located inside a building in Ashley Road. The food is good in general, and the cosy and quiet setting is very good for small groups. It is taken care of by a man and a woman and I hope it can stay long enough. It was not very busy yesterday (Saturday night).

There are two more German restaurants in TST: one biergarten and the other a restaurant proper. I should get more people to try the biergarten next time.

The Pearl Report

I was eating instant noodles on my own for lunch today. I turned on the TV, nothing worthed watching on the Chinese channels, and I switched to the Pearl. Well.. it was a replaying a documentary interviewing a few Hong Kong families who had immigrated into Canada. Some of them decided to stay there for a more relaxed and family-oriented life, some had already did, but the parents got frustrated for their children who acted and thought like Canadians and loathed to talk to them. Some of them decided to return to Hong Kong after spending over 10 years there.

One of the families had moved to Beijing 2 years ago. The father says he planned to send his children back to Canada for college. He wants to expose his children to a broad spectrum of cultures and let them decide where to develop their career and find their own homes.

Yes, moving around the globe is not as simple as it seems. Career, of course. But parents, children, the spouse always weigh in, even you think you don't need to take them seriously.

The program is called The Pearl Report, and this episode is one of six for a review of 10 years of rule under the Chinese sovereign (note: not a "celebration for return for 10 years", you got to be neutral for news program). I didn't expect the English channels in Hong Kong would produce documentary of such a high quality. The audience of those English channels are small here after all. I try to look up more about The Pearl Report on TVB's webpage, but amazingly I can't find even a description of it. The English News team deserves more respect.

昂平

昂平纜車墮下，震驚全港。上星期才和靜宜說起重沒去過，要去的話在上車前先要上廁所，和帶備食水乾糧，以備被困車廂兩小時之用。現在可省了。纜車重開無期，開了也不會坐。

我倒有興趣重行中六走過的山路，在梅窩坐巴士，在八公凹下車，翻過鳳凰山到昂平。在還未到鳳凰山頂的一個山頭向下望，大佛只有手指頭一樣大，好玩。

以前昂平只有一條村、寶蓮寺和一個露營區，我們在那裡露營，還在清晨走上鳳凰山看日出。現在再去，花兩三小時坐船和坐車，再走五小時山路（很難行，有一段路要四腳並用的爬上去），到達昂平還可以食晚飯，然後坐車回東涌。但現在太熱，要等天氣轉涼才可以去了。

I was at the checkout of a Kmart. The clerk rang up $46.64 charge. I gave her a fifty dollar bill. She gave me back $46.64.
I gave it back to her and told her that she had made a mistake in MY favor and gave her the money back. She became indignant and informed me she was educated and knew what she was doing and returned the money again. I gave her the money back again... Same scenario! I departed the store with the $46.64.
This happened in Austin at MoPac Blvd and Parmer Lane.

暢快

平時六點開波，但暑假期間壁球場收七點，所以五點鐘就要閃，唔係o岩o岩打熱個身就要走，好冇癮。

今日約好William入黎砌，一開始一人一執一局，通常我地打五局，五局三勝。打完第五局，我輸三二，但係我覺得o岩o岩先熱完身（我比較慢熱），加埋佢個得戚樣 ... 捉佢砌多一局。果然仲有心有力，抄，三比三。佢係都要贏我，要打多局。我寸佢，「冇氣就唔好死頂喇 ...」哈哈，又比我執多局。已經打左個幾鐘，死仔仲唔認輸，話我只係贏佢一局，要打多一局，如果佢贏就四比四，打最後一局決勝負；我贏佢就認輸，請飲汽水。哈哈 ... 叫你冇氣就唔好死頂架啦，最後一局都要比我炒，五比三，死未。

同William打真係幾好玩，大家差不多level，有時要同佢鬥猜波，睇下邊個先出錯；有時要鬥快；有時又要打靚位，仲要鬥追波。不過，最好玩係佢冇我咁好氣 ... 哈哈哈。

今日淨係同William打，個半鐘幾乎冇停過。好耐冇出過咁多汗（件衫已經saturated... 濕到漏汗），再沖個靚涼，飲罐可樂，真暢快。

再遊青松觀

四月去了一趟青松觀拍照，以為是我第一次去那裡。誰不知上星期爸爸找到一些舊照片，其中一張是媽媽抱著我，和爸爸站在一個小亭前面的照片，竟然就是我在青松觀拍到的小亭。連帶我一直最喜歡，一直以為是在圓玄學院拍的照片，也原來是同一天在青松觀拍的！世事真奇妙。不知不覺間我又回到孩提時代走過的地方，而且經過差不多三十年那裡還保存得幾乎一模一樣。在香港，可以保存得這樣好的地方也不多了。以後有了孩子，也要帶他回來拍個照，待他長大了看到也會覺得很有趣。

Six Flags

Back in Nov 2004, I went to Six Flags in Springfield, MA with a bunch of friends. Six Flags is the biggest amusement park franchise in the US. There are quite some serious roller coasters and water parks in there. It was the start of winter so the water park was closed. We went there only for the machines.

Lars is from Germany. He is very quiet but a very sincere and good friend of mine. He didn't want to get on any of those roller coasters, but he actually wanted to try, or he wouldn't be coming with us. He screamed like crazy (mind you he is a very quiet guy) on every ride, and he even played the falling seats with us twice!

Remi is from Switzerland. He is a very calm person, and he enjoys life a lot. Before he finished his stay at NEB, he went on a 3 week trip with his father into the "wild west". They even flew over the great canyon.

Sylvine is from France. She is quite a liberal and likes excitement at times. Her driving is like the stereotyped French style. Plus, she is blonde.

Kalina is from France as well, Paris in particular. She is out-going, and pretty. Remi was going after her, but she turned him down.

This is the picture we purchased at the park. It was taken automatically somewhere at the worst loop of a roller coaster called Batman. I added the blow-outs and they all said that I knew them well enough to read their mind from the picture.

煩重的工作

6月3日，日本共同社報導總理溫家寶因工作太煩重，決定不連任總理。

總理工作哪有不煩重的道理？只是有說「在好的制度中，壞人做不到壞事；在壞的制度中，好人卻做不到好事」。可恨這年頭有熱情的人，如朱鎔基、溫家寶都只做了一屆總理便做不下去。

2007年6月4日，和一個大學同學和她的朋友一起去了維園的六四燭光晚會。原本打算一個人去，但剛好在e-maiil談起，便一起去了。

和以往一樣，我在燭光晚會中只拿著蠟燭，靜靜的坐著或站著，沒有唱歌或叫口號。畢竟我是懷著掃墓的心情來，和做自己認為對的事。難道你會在清明掃墓時叫口號嗎？

集會過了一半，聽了天安門母親之中年紀最老的李雪文的錄音和王丹的錄像之後便走了。

令人欣慰的是，到了第十八年，還有足以坐滿維園全部六個足球場的人數出席，其中有上了年紀的公公、年輕的男女、還有像坐在我後面，一直向自己的孩子講解事件經過的父母。不只是中國唯一一個大型的六四集會，維園的悼念活動是全世界最多人參與的。這是我作為一個香港人唯一一個為香港驕傲的事。幾年前我和自己說過，要珍惜這個機會，只要人在香港，我一定會在6月4日來維園。Every candlelight counts.

黃 雀 行 動 由 89 年 6 月 中 旬 開 始 ， 直 至 該 年 年 底 因 拯 救 王 軍 濤 及 陳 子 明 失 敗 而 終 止 。 當 時 協 助 拯 救 的 港 人 黎 沛 及 李 龍 慶 被 內 地 公 安 拘 捕 ， 陳 達 鉦 與 北 京 當 局 談 判 ， 「 我 答 應 中 國 政 府 以 後 再 也 不 做 這 樣 的 事 情 … … 自 己 的 妥 協 得 到 了 支 聯 會 和 岑 建 勳 的 理 解 和 同 意 。 」 黎 、 李 二 人 於 91 年 獲 釋 。

提 及 黃 雀 行 動 名 稱 的 由 來 ， 陳 達 鉦 說 ， 行 動 原 本 沒 名 稱 ， 91 年 岑 建 勳 接 受 英 國 廣 播 公 司 訪 問 時 靈 機 一 觸 ， 引 用 成 語 「 螳 螂 捕 蟬 ， 黃 雀 在 後 」 來 形 容 這 次 行 動 而 得 名 。

當 年 成 功 逃 往 美 國 的 中 共 已 故 總 書 記 趙 紫 陽 的 智 囊 團 成 員 嚴 家 其 ， 對 逃 亡 過 程 也 不 太 清 楚 ， 「 我 無 法 從 開 車 的 司 機 、 快 艇 駕 駛 員 那 了 解 到 甚 麼 ， 一 路 上 他 們 完 全 不 理 睬 我 們 。 」

2004年6月4日香港維多利亞公園

決賽

今日係教職員壁球比賽既決賽，諗住應該可以贏到Dr. Luk，但尋晚唔夠訓，今日飲左兩杯咖啡先頂到開波，竟然輸左比佢，得個第四名，但都有獎杯，哈哈... 其實我返黎咁耐都未輸過比Dr. Luk，就係今次比賽陰差陽錯輸左。不過我反而好開心，我地一齊打左十幾年波，佢睇住我大，而且佢今年七月都退休咯，咁咪大家開心囉。佢領獎杯果陣真係笑到見牙唔見眼架。遲d要搵番以前班隊友出黎同佢食番餐榮休飯先。

落去打波之前，一出lab門就比劉師兄叫住，原來佢專登上黎搵我食飯。打完波之後一齊去左旺角百人一朱，傾到十點幾先走。

好開心的一天。

燒玻璃

今日係玻璃燒製綜藝Glass Art Introduction 的第一課，但要先落去打埋場比賽，之後急急腳趕出去官塘個Workshop上堂，竟然仲有時間食個咖哩牛腩飯。

去到先知個course只有6個學生，我係唯一一個男生。原來個course差d開唔成，多得我同阿Sue報名先夠人開班。老師係一個Glass Artist，過去幾年都有展出過佢既作品。佢個Workshop幾Professional，有齊所有燒製同打磨器材，仲係香港唯一一個私人Workshop有吹玻璃既設備，只有浸大先有另一套，仲要係我地既老師負責設計。

今日第一堂只係簡單咁介紹各種工藝既方法，hot work、warm work 同 cool work，同埋相應既器材。老師示範左吹玻璃，同帶我地其中幾個人試做d簡單既野，例如用微波爐既Kiln去燒熔d玻璃粒，變成一塊有幾種色既吊錘、用噴沙機將玻璃杯磨沙，同做玻璃紙鎮。而我就做左個由幾粒有圖案既意大利玻璃粒同一小塊無顏色既玻璃鎔合而成既吊錘，下星期要帶返去打磨。

海膽團

上星期日去左西貢糧船灣o既海膽養殖場食即開海膽。雖然可以坐車入糧船灣，但我地都係跟養殖場訂的船入去。

入到去先坐低，之後我就滕落去海邊八下。老板話d海膽就養左o係近岸既石縫之間。我一望都望到好多海膽o係水底，有一個海膽仲可以用手摸到添。

老板娘介紹一種新鮮捉既蟹，叫盲蟹。佢地就o係附近生長，因為近岸，潮水加浪花，所以d盲蟹好有力，d肉好多同好爽。我企o係岸邊望落海都見到幾隻盲蟹爬黎爬去！老板娘話就咁清蒸最好食，試過，雖然隻蟹仲細過隻手板，但佢地真係好多肉同好爽。

海膽，新鮮捉上黎，但可能差不多到季尾，冇乜海膽味。Judy唔食海膽，我唔該都冇聲就食埋佢果隻。

呢餐既驚喜係炸烏賊。好味！

前一個星期已經因為大雨要將海膽團改到上星期，今次出發時好天，但食完之後開始落雨，攪到我地要提早走。o係船上大家都好忙，一班人玩橋牌，另一班人玩NDS對戰Marios賽車，而我就o係度影相。我見閃電，就o係度部左好耐相映，但次次都係見到閃電再按快門已經慢左，影唔到。反而睇返d相先發現原來我無意中影到閃電，仲要將條電放左o係張相既中間。唉... 無心插柳柳成蔭...

我地影既相。

Lightsaber Duels

I was looking up youtube for lightsaber duels. Man.. there are a few amateur-turned professional lightsaber fighters doing marvelous duels there! Here is one of the earliest but fantastic ones. That Ryan Wieber has later taken on other equally fantastic lightsaber fighters in later videos.

Lightsaber replicas that glow like a real ones, with digital sounds for power up, idle humming, swing pitches, crashes and power down recorded from the movies!! Man! The sounds are played when you do the actions!! Imagine how cool it is to swing a lightsaber with those "woo.. woo" pitches! The coolest Star Wars gadget of all time!!

四個男人去食飯

今晚約左阿伯，Andrew同Simon食飯。原來同阿伯、Simon已經識左十年。人愈大就愈多老朋友。

四個PhD，兩個做左教授，兩個下左海，傾黎傾去都係Science。Andrew做開Evolution，d topics好有趣。幾條友傾下傾下又有d野可能可以一齊做，不過要做下功課先。

阿伯就黎做第二任老豆，恭喜恭喜。

高清 vs 低濁

上星期屋企部電視突然壞左，用左差不多二十年，終於死左。睇左一輪終於買左部26" Sony HD LCD電視。原價$6800，特價$6100，我同兩個細佬一人千五，爸爸比千六，好在屋企人多。部電視resolution去到1366 x 766，但依家d無線訊號同DVD都冇咁高，電視節目好多noise，仲辛苦過用CRT睇。好在我地有Now寬頻，都算好d。

香港要等多幾年先有高清廣播，依家唯有睇住d低濁o既先啦。

又發夢

講開夢，尋晚又發左個怪夢。夢中同幾個朋友去紐約玩，o係一間酒店住左一晚，第二朝唔知點解一早醒左，自己一個人出街行。跟住o係酒店門口撞倒蔡瀾，同佢一路行一邊傾。佢話要去或買鞋，我話去Macy咪得囉，但佢話要去以前買開果間鞋鋪買。同佢搵左一陣都搵唔到間鞋鋪，結果經過間海味鋪，佢買左一包唔知乜。

Dreams

In most of my dreams, I always end up alone. Even the dream starts with a dinner or a trip with a bunch of friends, I somehow turn out sneaking around on my own, looking for something that I don't know what exactly is. I had been looking for a platform inside an unknown subway station, and I had also sneaked out in the middle of a high-table dinner and ended up wandering on the street alone. Can someone tell me what that means?

海南島

睇報紙人地介紹海南島亞龍灣。幾年前去過，除左用半日跟部的士去行左個圈之外，日日都留係酒店，陽光與海灘，泳池和青草地，好爽。依家亞龍灣開左更多外國名牌酒店，全部都有私人沙灘同高級Spa，其中一間德國酒店仲有自己既micro-brewery。唉，成千蚊一晚。雖然好想去散心，不過我一向都唔捨得對自己咁好，而且咁樣好自閉。可能同細佬去台灣搭火車，或者去星加玻見下d朋友算啦... 用埋張機票返Boston都得，不過太遠喇。

Rages

It took me plenty of effort to sort things out and put it out here. I have never been so surged with rages. I felt like I wanted to cry and punch someone really hard at the same time on my way back home tonight. Fuck!

I used to be really calm. My ex used to complain me being deprived of strong feeling to everything. I do now. Thanks to her and the last few years when I picked up lots of American temper and mentality. Now I believe that things never happen if you don't push for it. And if you know me well enough, you know I only feel angry on myself - I am angry usually because I am not being measured up to my own expectations. Well... I think the one who knows me best is forgetting what I use to be.

I think I am having too much energy to spare here. My friends say I am getting hyper-active. Yes, I am having trouble to slow down my mind and I want to get occupied. I want to learn Thai Boxing.

酥炸鮮魷

好在今日養傷，冇去打波，唔係就食唔到母親大人整既酥炸鮮魷。

以前屋企由煮，阿媽唔識煮。後來爺爺去左台灣之後，食阿媽煮既覺得係有d崖義氣。後來佢去左幫舅父做幫廚（舅父做大廚），做左兩年之後打通左任、督二脈，有心機煮果陣好食過大酒樓。佢依家煮用既豉油都係自己煮架。

講返今日既酥炸鮮魷，用天婦羅既炸醬黎包，新鮮炸出黎果陣外脆內軟，鮮魷用細細隻，阿媽話咁先至唔軔。阿媽仲好好心機咁將生菜切絲墊底，唔食埋d生菜絲即係唔領情啦。

幸福

今朝八點先返到，即訓。不過次次飲完酒都訓唔得耐，因為個胃脹住脹住。一點鐘起身食條蕉，沖個涼，適服晒。有次無意中係網上睇到香蕉可以解酒，所以次次飲完酒都會食番條蕉，連個胃都唔再脹住。下次不如買定梳蕉落pub咯。

個胃終於訓醒，肚餓，想食粥，但又唔想出去。唔知點解細佬檯面有「兩合茶餐廳」既外賣紙，咁就令我做左一件自己都好睇唔起自己既事 — 叫外賣。不過，我聽Aunt May話，原諒左自己，因為兩合d野實在又抵又好食。$28一個粥麵餐有一大碗粥加一大碟撈麵，仲要係好食既撈麵。我叫左免治牛粥+牛腩撈麵，夠我加埋細佬食。真幸福。

A 10-months old has a gun

The State of Illinois issued a 10-month-old boy a gun permit. The little boy's grandfather bought him a shotgun as an heirloom.

Police in Illinois said there aren't age restrictions on gun permits there. All it requires is a signature by the child's guardian.

Spider-Man 3

I watched Spider-Man 3 today. I didn't like Spider-Man cartoons or comics when I was young. I thought Spider-Man was the most silly superhero because he couldn't fly but swing between buildings like a monkey. Only when I have experienced enough in time now I can understand the sophistications that Spider-Man bears. Not all superhero stories are for the kids. I still remember how heavy I felt after I watched Spider-Man 1 a few years ago.

The Spider-Man franchise is the most well-written superhero movies, and Spider-Man himself is the most sophisticated and realistic superhero out there. Peter Parker himself is a shy nerd and only learns to behave like a man after he has acquired the spider power and stay behind the mask. He has financial problems and needs a few part-time jobs to get himself through college. His relation with Mary-Jean has never been easy to come by.

This Spider-Man 3 is a very busy movie - there are plenty of villains to deal with: the Goblin Jr., the Sandman and the creepy black alien Venom from outer space. Peter has also needed to go through a few emotional fluxes on his love and Spider-Man business. Aunt May's lines are always impressing: "To get married is to put your wife in front of you"; "Uncle Ben will not let you have the idea of revenge for even one second"; "Start with the most difficult part - forgive yourself."

There are always sentimental themes within each movie: Spider-Man 1 is about taking the responsibility to protect your loved ones even you need to make sacrifices; Spider-Man 2 is about taking a stand on doing the right thing (though less well-said); and this Spider-Man 3 is about forgiving - as the poster says: the greatest battle lies within.

Peter has hated the Sandman for killing Uncle Ben, partly under the influence of the black alien thing, but he forgives him at the end of the movie. Harry (Goblin Jr.) has hated Peter (Spider-Man) for having killed his father, and tried to kill him. He forgives Peter and gets killed for him in the fight against the Sandman and the black alien. Most importantly, Mary-Jean forgives all Peter has done wrong on her.

No surprise. It is an American movie after all, and it is here to spread the American values. If you have not noticed, look again at the color of Spider-Man's suit again. It is colored in red, blue and white, the very colors of the US flag down to Pantone numbers.

Housemates

I share a house with 2 girls back in Ipswich. I reckon just now that this is the only picture 3 of us took together.

It was Yvette's birthday party at our home last September. Over 40 people were there, and I didn't even know when the party ended - I only knew I went to bed at 3 am. Yvette was very surprised and happy with the party and her birthday gift, an ipod nano that we bought her. We drank a lot and danced a lot. Everybody had a great time. Shamik had even gone insane.

This picture was taken in the middle of the party, when we are all half-drunk. Sophie is on the left, and Yvette is in the middle. They are both very lovely girls.

今日有空拿了本通勝（蔡伯勵編）來讀，其實通勝除了可以推算流年、八字、和擇日之外，還有很多有趣的東西，例如《朱子治家格言》，教你如何管理一頭家，由要鎖好門窗到與家人的相處都有詳細講解；《逢生錄》教孕婦如何處理臨盤前和之後的事情，和生育之後可以吃和不可以吃什麼。

這蔡伯勵版本的通勝還有解說中文文字的演變：由甲骨文到鐘鼎文，到秦一統文字，規範成小篆。小篆變化成隸書，有說是由一個秦朝獄吏因自己入獄，有時間簡化和將小篆的圓筆變成方折成隸書，加快了書寫的速度。隸書之所以稱為隸書，便是因為當時的囚犯被稱為「徒隸」。到了東漢中期，因為多了公文往來，官員寫字時因貪快多了連筆，逐漸形成草書。到了後漢時期，文人將草書的筆劃分開，規範化之後便成為楷書。而行書便由楷書連筆變化而成，相當於草書和隸書的關係。

楷書由漢末一直沿用至今，已經二千年。現在大部分的中國人口經過簡體字的洗腦，已經看不懂楷書。還是馬英九的堅持有見地，我們用的是「正體字」而不是「繁體字」，因為這是經歷了二千年的正統中國文字。我們必須堅守這一道防線，不要讓二千年的文化結晶在我們這一代失傳。

踢波與鋸扒

尋日專登同細佬行晒成個市中心，各自買左對波鞋，今朝一早（其實已經係10點）入元朗同何生同佢d朋友踢波。

幾個月冇踢波，加上踢硬地場同著新鞋，踢左一個鐘左右已經要收皮。但細佬仲唔夠皮，要何生同我陪佢踢多陣。何生真係幾好波，卓號奧雲仔。

幾乎著親新鞋都要開光，右腳後對上又爆缸。

今日母親節，但太后要返工。好在尋日細佬癲起條根，中午要食扒王之王，順便叫埋太后一齊鋸扒，當慶祝母親節。咦，我地好似個個星期六都請太后食晏... 上星期先食左味千拉麵。其實有心，個個weekend都可以抽一日半日出黎母親節啦，使乜等今日同人迫加比人屈。（日日我就做唔到喇... 哈哈）

獅子與毛蟲

森林裡，一頭獅子和一條毛蟲是朋友，他們都熱愛旅遊。
一 天，牠們來到河邊。遙望對岸，風景似乎很美。
「我們過河看看吧。」獅子說。
「河流湍急，」毛蟲勸告獅子：「你又不會游泳，那太危險了。」

Lover

A female friend of mine once told me her view on romantic relationship. She said boyfriend and lover does not need to be the same person. She had had a few boyfriends in the past, and she only considered two of them lovers.

For me, my girlfriend is always my lover. I also tend to treat her as my best friend to whom I tell her everything of mine, every thought that comes to my mind. Maybe it is not the best way to keep a relation, but I think it is not right to hide things from the person closest to me. For that reason, I am kind of picky: a girlfriend is not just a companion to me; she has to be my lover and best friend in one.

又打爆機

今晚又落左去打波，又比我打爆機，連我之前打唔贏既阿全都攪掂埋，全部人仲停晒睇我地表演，哈哈。

Dr. Luk今日唔打，但係都黎左睇波。佢聊我聽日打，我話唔得喇，要抖抖。佢寸我話佢幾十歲都仲打得，我唔得。大佬，你打得咁滋油，打45分鐘就收皮，我就要被你班人輪足個半鐘。我肩甲骨已經繼手肘之後有d陰陰痛喇。

一大班人一齊打波真係開心好多，人輪我，我輪人。不過一個星期兩晚打得咁激烈已經係我既極限，冇咁激既都可以打多一兩次既，哈哈。

韋小寶

前幾天開夜車讀完鹿鼎記，但因為太累，所以直到今天才有時間寫。

其實看了不到一半，已經看出韋小寶之所以滿地朋友、昇官發財、娶到七個老婆，不出以下幾個原因：

1. 觀人觀事於微
2. 聰明、反應快
3. 會編大話、口甜舌滑
4. 有自知之明，但不輕易露底
5. 真心對待朋友和愛人
6. 值得尊重的人要尊重，不值得尊重的人要耍弄
7. 拜師要拜名師
8. 為朋友和愛人檔劍
9. 對朋友有義氣，絕不出賣：
到最後皇帝要小寶滅天地會，天地會兄弟也要小寶殺皇帝。小寶不願出賣任何一方，便決定藉口接老媽回京一家大小一起遠走雲南，隱姓埋名。

當然，最重要是第10點：

Natural History Museum

Very tired to write today. Show you a picture I took in Natural History Museum, New York City, 2 years ago. Although a bit shaky, it is another picture that I love... a lot more touching than the dinosaurs.

元朗大榮華與元朗何師拉

今晚約左去何師拉屋企，原本由佢下廚整幾味我地嘆，我提議不如食大榮華，Judy即刻拍手贊成。於是我地五人就去左元朗大榮華食飯。終於食到佢既豬油撈飯。飯用砵仔蒸，熱辣辣淋上豬油同頭抽，一撈，真係好很好食。佢既麵醬炒油麥菜超好味，麵醬甜甜地，加埋唔同甜法既油麥菜，電！我地仲叫左五味雞，雞好滑，又入味。雞蛋蒸魚腸，冇想象中咁好味。煎釀鯪魚連我唔鍾意食鯪魚球既人都食左兩大件。五個人叫左五個菜，多得我同何生，全部清晒，仲要食左兩砵豬油撈飯（實在太好食），再叫左一籠馬拉糕，飲埋送既紅豆沙同麥米粥。當然，半籠馬拉糕打包。埋單只係三百幾，何師拉話佢請。哈哈，多謝。

食完去左佢地屋企，就o係我前兩日行南生圍既起點附近。佢地隻mini cocker實在太可愛喇，比佢地train到坐低就自動遞手，企起身同訓享地都識旋轉，玩追骨頭玩唔厭，我一抱佢就lam我。

何師拉整左兩個蛋糕招呼我地。一個Blueburry cheese cake，另一個佢聲稱整衰左，其實只係差個頂既青蘋果Jelly未整好既青蘋果蛋糕。佢開頭唔肯個青蘋果蛋糕出黎，我食完個Blueburry cheese cake之後話幫佢食個青蘋果蛋糕，佢先出黎。一試，好清甜，仲好食過個Blueburry cheese cake（雖然個cheese cake已經好食過出邊買既好多）。我一食食左兩件。

好飽。返到屋企，阿媽仲摘左蘆薈整左糖水。飲左少少，聽日要踩番三個鐘單車先掂。

我問何師拉，佢有乜撚手小菜，佢竟然話梅菜扣肉！不得了，下次一定要整黎嘆下。

慶祝

今日阿媽買左好多，諗住慶祝細佬生日。阿爸仲買左一大盤賴尿蝦。但細佬有節目，我地三個人唯有遙遠同佢慶祝啦，佢返到黎都仲有雪芳蛋糕食既。

其實生日好應該同阿媽慶祝，多謝佢咁多年前咁辛苦生我地出黎。今晚阿媽食賴尿蝦都食得好開心，況且佢計舊曆，今年仲有一次機會。

問題

點解o係香港想買對似樣d既涼鞋都咁難？想買對Crocs但著上腳又好怪相。仲有，除左玫瑰之外仲有邊度多壁球拍賣？點解市面咁少Wilson壁球拍賣？

雪芳蛋糕

聽日係細佬生日，早幾日佢話要我送部NDS比佢。我話我比$500佢，唔夠自己貼。佢話：「且！」

今日幾乎唔記得佢聽日生日，我再問佢。

阿哥：喂，你除左NDS之外仲有乜想要？
細佬：女
阿哥：且，我有都留番比自己啦，仲有呢？
細佬：錢
阿哥：一樣，有我都留番比自己。我買個蛋糕比你咧
細佬：乜野蛋糕？
阿哥：嘉頓雪芳蛋糕
細佬：不如買孿寶蛋糕
阿哥：唔得，我鍾意食雪芳蛋糕多d喎

單車自由行

今日訓到一點，爽。食埋阿媽整既冷麵，踩細佬架單車入天水圍。

今日我完全冇計劃，淨係諗住踩單車入天水圍玩下。帶支水，一件衫換，咁就出發。路上問一個大叔點入天水圍，佢好好心帶我去行一條冇咁多車既路。入到天水圍再沿住河邊一直踩到濕地公園，都唔使一個鐘。我唔知條河叫乜名，不過條河兩岸都整到成個公園咁，好踩過沙田。去到濕地公園已經四點半，佢地四點就停止賣飛。下次要早d黎。

o係濕地公園機買水，個Secure阿姨走黎聊我講野，仲教我點踩番出去。不過我話我只係得閒得滯四圍去，諗住踩入嘉湖同d屋村先走。結果比我係天盛苑間實惠見到我一直都搵唔到既沙灘椅，要黎放係花園睇書+晒太陽。屯門果間都冇得賣。但我踩單車唔到，細佬又已經上左車返屋企，下次搭西鐵一個站入黎買。

返黎時搵唔返條路，結果踩左入屏山。不過都係一樣，直出就係青山公路。我想踩入流浮山食炸金蠔，但搵唔到路。搵次約班人踩單車入流浮山食炸金蠔都幾型。

咁樣漫無目的咁四圍行都幾過癮，遇到乜就做乜，諗到乜就去做。最好就係唔會盪失路，因為我根本冇目的地，諗到去邊就去邊。好在屯門同天水圍都有單車徑，可以自由行。

踩返黎途中突然諗記，細個時阿時時帶我去荃灣大會堂塊空地踩單車。果時我得7、8歲，o岩o岩學識踩單車。阿會食完晚飯先同我去，話唔會晒（可能驚我會中暑）。果時仲要抽架單車上天橋。我諗都係想我多d運動，健康d。我記得果時佢仲買左個籃球比我，帶我去福來村打，但我果時實在太矮喇，個波又重，打兩次就唔想再打，仲攪到我以後都唔鍾意打籃球添（其實係我唔鍾意籃球太多衝撞）。不過，我總算搵到d我鍾意玩既運動，壁球、踩單車、行山、獨木舟、踢波、滑雪。總算有d交待。

南生圍

今日原本諗住一個人去南生圍行下，同阿爸阿媽講起，佢地又要跟住黎。都好，好耐冇同佢地去玩。

南生圍大部份魚塘已經荒廢晒，行到南生圍外圍一個魚塘先遇到個阿叔，佢話自已係呢度長大，依家半退休，返黎魚塘起番間屋，養魚種菜，出面市區d生活過唔慣。佢養左隻黃狗仔，好痴人，我一行近個魚塘佢就走黎Lam我。

再行到差不多到紅毛橋，經過一個農場。我地去到諗住食豆腐花，入到去先知裡面好大，有幾個魚塘，有d養左烏頭、近木棚既魚塘種左好多睡蓮同蓮花。我地行浮排落去個睡蓮池度映相。有好多拍友入黎映佢地d睡蓮，仲送番d相比佢地，掛出黎威下。

今日係閒日，冇其他客，事頭婆帶我地參觀。佢話個農場開左四年，種左好多果樹，有兩棵大樹菠蘿長滿好大隻既大樹菠蘿，仲有幾棵蘋果芒，長滿紅芒果。我問事頭婆d大樹菠蘿幾時食得，佢話d大樹菠蘿已經比人訂左。

佢個棚內有個錦鯉池，池邊有棵蘋果芒，加上好多錦鯉游黎遊去，好靚。我同事頭婆講，個錦鯉池將成個場個格提升左。佢話，其實成個農場係由佢地兩公婆一手一腳砌出黎，一間屋自已住，一個木棚比人坐低食野同休息、魚池、魚塘、荷花池，全部都係佢地自已用人地唔要既廢料砌出黎。

佢地仲養左蜜蜂，自已整蜜糖同蜜糖酒。個場有得燒烤，但聽事頭婆既口氣，佢唔係咁鍾意呢類客，可能攪到個場又嘈又污糟呱。

最後事頭婆帶我地去田度自已摘甘筍，洗一洗就食得，好好味。佢話後面菜田仲有好多菜，不過多數都係各種鬼佬生菜，阿媽佢地唔食Salad，所以冇去到。

我地剛去到時，事頭婆正打磨緊佢老公刻既木牌片，用黎掛係個木棚內。其中一塊牌片寫住：

舒舒服服過辛苦日子

從佢地養魚、種菜、種果樹，連唔係咁鍾意既燒烤都做埋，可以想象佢地初初開始做時有幾傍惶。以佢地依家咁既規模，再慢慢整靚佢，應該有得做既。

個農場叫敬輝農場，事頭兩公婆姓郭，weekend會接本地旅行團客。等蘋果芒熟左再去食，仲有佢d豆腐花，好滑。

行完叫埋細佬入元朗一齊食飯。我話去大榮華，但阿媽話想食第二d。於是去左田中食壽司。佢d野幾抵食，不過貨色可能次一等。$68一板海膽，不過唔夠味。咖哩豬扒炸得好脆，不過咖哩唔夠甜。牡丹蝦一客得三隻，我讓晒比佢地食，試唔到。

通頂之後

今次玩通頂，食埋早餐先返。對上一次可能係中三，即係十幾年前。

上星期同Eddie談心，佢話十年前就落pub劈酒，依家玩唔黎喇。我就相反，廿幾歲時唔玩，到依家幾十歲人先去劈。依家我好掂架喇，識收識放，臨天光仲可以隊人同幫人擋。

玩完一晚，終於決定留低多幾個月。你話我玩到唔捨得走又好，乜叉都好，我鍾意做乜咪做乜，吹咩。

以前做乜都冇思前想後咁多，呢次幾個月貨仔要諗咁耐。依家諗定左，個人都開心晒。

下晏同細佬去左屯門新墟食過橋米線。間野幾出名，我係第一次去食，唔知死叫左中辣，第一次食辣食到頭頂出汗（普通熱係後頸出汗），仲頭暈暈。近！
